It’s amazing how Georgia’s english grammar is almost always perfect. We have never attempted to teach or explain to her why we use past tense or present tense – she seems to have picked it up perfectly.

This weekend we tried making Char Siew Pau from scratch with dough mixed in the breadmaker. Georgia helped by rolling out the dough balls in to flat round shapes while i filled it with our home-cooked Char Siew.

Listening to our French CD – Salut Serge in the car, we have learnt to count along in French.
“Un, deux, trois… “and Georgia automatically says ‘Quatre’.
G: Mummy, what is Quatre?
Me: Quatre is four – one two three four
G: No, cut is blood!

Good day, how is your family?
The words from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast song have been fervently sung these past few days. And judging from Georgia’s French pronounciation, I figured perhaps it’s time to expose her to a third language – Francais…
So tentatively we start her out saying…
“Bonjour, Je m’apelle Georgia-mae” -complete with French accents on [...]

We often have ‘hidden’ conversations – particularly when trying to decide if Georgia is allowed a treat, usually, chocolate. The problem with that is her ears are so sharp she picks up any hint of the word so you can’t actually say it and then decide not to give it to her.

At 2 years and 2 months, Georgia is learning to research an awful lot.
Everytime she is asked, “What are you doing?”. Her reply is almost always “Researching.”
We have no idea, where she picked this up from or how she knows how to use the word in context…

Centre – Santa Claus
Every morning, when we brush teeth before bath-time, we say
“Left, left left, Centre centre, centre, right right right.”
Lab (glasses) – (mummy’s) lap
When she found my laboratory safety spectacles, Georgia asked what they were, upon being told that they were lab glasses, she patted my lap and sit on mummy’s lap.
